Brief
Description of the schemes indication the main objectives, Components and Beneficiaries:
Above
mentioned 9 (nine) nos. of Industrial Estates/ Industrial Areas etc. are maintained
by the corporation and sheds/ open spaces are allotted to entrepreneurs/ industrialists
for setting up industrial units there on lease rent basis, which is fixed by Govt.
from time to time.
(i)
Trade Centre, Sutarkandi, Dist. Karimganj
Trade
Centre Sutarkandi project (1st phase) in Karimganj district was approved by Govt.
of India on 7th January, 2000 under Critical Infrastructure Balance (C.I.B.) scheme
at a total project cost of Rs.8.16 crores to provide appropriate infrastructural
facilities to the exporters and importers of the region with the neighbouring
country of Bangladesh. 1st phase of Trade Centre, Sutarkandi project has been
inaugurated on 12/01/2007.
The
AIIDC has already taken up for implementation of 2nd phase of Trade Centre, Sutarkandi
project with a total cost of Rs.5.88 crores.
(ii)
Growth Centre Project at split location Chaygaon, Patgaon including HMT Campus,
District Kamrup.
Growth
Centre Project at split location Chaygaon, Patgaon including HMT Campus approved
by Govt. of India with total project cost of Rs.1,616.24 lakhs. About 400 bighas
of Govt. land has already been acquired and demarcated at Chaygaon location and
all the civil construction work are in nearing completion stage for the 1st phase
covering 180 bighas of land.
The
HMT Campus measuring about 12.5 bighas of land is acquired for Industrial Growth
Centre. It is expected to be completed by December, 2007. All the allotable land
areas at HMT are allotted to the interested entrepreneurs. Allotted parties have
started their activities.
The
Growth Centre project will provide developed plot for setting up of industrial
unit which will be having infrastructural facilities like power, water supply,
road, drainage, secured boundary wall etc. to entrepreneurs.
(iii)
Integrated Infrastructural Development Centre (IIDC), Rangia, District Kamrup
:
IIDC,
Rangia project is located near NH-31 in a plot of 121 bighas of land which is
46 km from Guwahati city. The approved project cost is Rs.493.61 lakhs with 1:4
State Govt. : Central Govt. funding pattern. The project comprise of administrative
building, 33kv power substation, water supply facilities, truck parking yard,
effluent treatment plant, roads, drainage, secured boundary wall and developed
plots.
The
IIDC, Rangia projects construction work is nearing completion. The project will
benefit the entrepreneurs/ industries by providing developed plots for setting
up of their units which may be medium, SSI and tiny/ rural sector which will create
opportunities for employment generation. Allotment of open space has already been
made provisionally to 24 nos. of aspiring entrepreneurs and some of them already
started construction of factory buildings, installation of plants & machineries
etc.

Integrated Infrastructural Development Centre (IIDC), Banderdewa, District Lakhimpur
:
IIDC,
Banderdewa is located by the side of NH-52 which is 20 km away from Itanagar,
the capital of Aurnachal Pradesh and 35 km from North Lakhimpur town, the head
quarter of Lakhimpur district. The append project cost is Rs.402.02 lakhs and
total area of project is 89 bighas. The project on completion will provide developed
plots for industrial development and will help to provide employment facilities
and uplift the socio-economic condition of the people of the region. The project
is under construction and expected to be completed by January, 2008.
